License policy, terms, packages and options

SETTEIDEA proposes two types of licensing policies to the customer of TrainsRunner products:

  • Perpetual License: SETTEIDEA grants the use of the TrainsRunner software to the customer, without any expiration date, with one year, from the purchasing date, of guarantee against software defects and the new releases of the software. After the first year, the user may optionally purchase the extension of the annual guarantee.
  • Yearly Subscription: SETTEIDEA grants the use of the TrainsRunner software to the customer for one year from the subscription date. The yearly subscription includes, until the expiration date, the guarantee against the software defects, the new releases of the software. After the subscription expiration, the software won’t run anymore unless the customer extends the license, renewing the subscription.

The TrainsRunner Studio software includes the TrainsRunner stand-alone version. The user may run the TrainsRunner Studio IDE, that uses the TrainsRunner stand-alone as simulation engine, or he may run the TrainsRunner stand-alone application without the IDE facilities.

Help desk for customer support

The customer may extend the guarantee and the right to get software updates for one year from the guarantee expiration date. The user shall purchase the Software maintenance subscription within 30 days from the expiration of the guarantee period or from the expiration of the previous subscription. The Software maintenance subscription includes, until the expiration date:

  • The guarantee against software defects
  • The software compatibility update to new versions of the MS Window operating system and COTS libraries.
  • Any released upgrade to the user interface and software features included in the purchased items.

The subscription to Help desk for customer support includes one year of user assistance, by phone and/or by e-mail, to help in the use of software and in system modelling. An expert engineer will provide the answers to user requests within five working days.

The subscription includes up to 40 hours of effort to provide the support to the user requests. At the expiration date, the unused effort will be lost. The customer can purchase one subscription per software licence and per year.
