TrainsRunner Optional Modules
The TrainsRunner simulator allows calculating the short circuit current in steady state conditions for both AC and DC systems:
- Current in the short circuit branch,
- Output current of each ESS,
- Current flowing in each Feeder and in each network branch,
- Rail potential to earth,
as function of:
- the short circuit Position along the line,
- the status of Electrical Substations equipment (in service/out of service),
- the Breakers status (open/close),
- the arc resistance and/or the arc voltage.
The full characteristic (voltage vs current) of DC electrical substations must be provided.
The following software modules are available with the last release of the TrainsRunner software:
- Way side energy storage system.
- Automatic run of a sequence of simulations, changing, on request, the up and down train synchronization.
- Model of a simplified signaling system: fixed and moving line block, interlocking.
- Simulation results as both Open Office file for Microsoft Excel and as Microsoft SQL Local Database.
- On board energy storage systems
